We couldn't have asked for a better team to support us to help organise our sons celebration of life. From the very start Jayne explained the entire process with care and compassion and was always available to talk when needed, Chris was also dilligent and professional whenever we spoke with him. On the day of our sons funeral, Laura and the team were amazing, respectful and acted with love towards our entire family and friends. The celebration was an incredibly sad but an uplifting experience which would have been just what our son wanted. You carried out our sons wishes to perfection. We thank you. Mia & Mart

A beautiful caring and heart-warming service. while retaining efficiency and professionalism. The funeral directors and the Minister, Kate Mitchell, were so warm and encouraging while showing empathy and respect. A truly lovely service that was much commented upon by those who attended.

My family went to Hodges for my brother’s funeral and I can honestly say the service we got was lovely from start to finish. Jane made us feel very welcome. She was very caring and compassionate. Everything was dealt with such sensitivity. She helped us with absolutely everything. Guided us all the way. Very caring and professional. I would highly recommend for your special loved ones. X

I sadly lost both my parents in the space of 2 months so have had 2 funerals to arrange. Sarah at W Hodges was fantastic. For such a sad event, she made it all feel easy to deal with and I didn't need to worry as I knew she had everything covered! Both ceremonies were lovely and Dave, Sarah's husband, was at both funerals making me feel calm under the circumstances. The services were perfect and the music and photo tribute made them very personal. Bluebell Cemetery was a perfect venue and our celebrant, Kate Mitchell was exceptional. I used W Hodges for my dad's pure cremation. From the first phone call I was really touched by the warmth and friendliness of the ladies there; Sally (? sorry if that's wrong!) who first answered and Sarah who I was put through to, then met with to discuss the arrangements. Sarah was so easy to get on with and I felt that my dad's body would be well respected and cared for with this company. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you.

On such a sad occasion and not having experience of arranging a funeral, Sarah Smith, of W Hodges is the most perfect person to deal with. She had such compassion and light humour dealing with us. She has so much knowledge in her field and was also very gentle in her reminders when I was slow in responding.
On the funeral day , Laura took over and dealt with everything softly and smoothly, explaining to us how things would work before and after the service ,and guided her coffin bearers with gentle confidence .I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah and Laura

Everyone at Hodges made sure everything was perfect for our beloved mum/grandma. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right and was so friendly and helpful from the very first time we went in, that everyone felt at ease to discuss options for the day. Everything went smoothly on the day and it all came together seamlessly. Ensured all family members included and very accommodating to fit visits in around all our busy schedules. Grandma chose Hodges before she passed and would have been really pleased with everything. Thanks again.

If possible, we would give W Hodges a 10 star rating. The most caring and helpful staff who fulfilled all our wishes for my husband’s funeral from first contact right the way through to the funeral service and for their care during the weeks that followed.
We had several visits to them & numerous phone calls which were very much appreciated. Thank you especially to Sarah Smith & Sally with whom we made the initial contact and to Steve Neligan and Dave Smith who took care of us for the funeral service. We are grateful to all the staff at Hodges who we did not meet but put together the Order of Service exactly as requested.
We would not hesitate to recommend this company for the sensitive and considerate way that they conduct their business during this very sad time.
